My System for Success

Here it is, free of charge, the Mandy Barton High Tech System for Success.   This is what I personally do.  A few warnings first.

Warning #1: It will make you rich.

Warning #2: It is so simple it’s boring.

Ready for the most complicated, high tech success system of all time?  (NOT!)

Buy yourself a stack of 5 legal pads and come back to this page to begin.  These your High Tech Legal Pads.  Ready?

Break out High Tech Legal Pad #1 and spend 15 minutes on this question.  What do I want my life to look like next year at this time?  You can’t skimp on this step – it’s super important.  Do you want to quit your job?  Do you want to start a family?  Do you want to have purchased the house of your dreams?  Paid off a mortgage?  Do you want to be 20 pounds lighter?  What would get you really excited to see happen in a year?  Write it down!

A few of the answers I had this past year are these,  I want to:

1)    Be conversational in Spanish
2)    Reach Senior Manager Level in my MLM
3)    Build my Gemsbok herd at the ranch to 20 females
4)    Have $####.## income in Business B
5)    Reach $#,###,###.## profit in Business A
6)    Reach and maintain ### on the scale
7)    A monthly income of ##,###.##

The year before I had all new flooring in the bedrooms and a healthy pregnancy written down!

You get the idea.  Spend a few minutes and dream a little.  What do you want to see when you look around you in a year?.  The living room completely redecorated and furnished?  More income?  Yourself with a new skill?  Whatever it is – it goes on the High Tech Legal Pad #1.

Now, here is where you make all that happen. The next 90 days are going to be pure magic.  You can change your entire life in 90 days if you want to.  Take out the blank High Tech Legal Pad #2, and using the information on High Tech Legal Pad #1, answer the following question.

What do I have to make happen in the next three months to achieve the things on my dream list (aka High Tech Legal Pad #1)?

Using one of my examples above, becoming conversational in Spanish, one of the things on my 90 day list might be to complete Units 1 through 5 of the Rosetta Stone course.  I might also have the purchase of some new Gemsbok on that list.  Whatever will move you at least ¼ of the way to what is on High Tech Legal Pad #1 needs to be on this 90 day list.  So, once I have what has to happen in 90 days – it’s time for High Tech Legal Pad #3 to come out!

This 3rd notepad is for the month you have ahead of you.  For example, if today is August 20th, this pad is for now through September 20th,  Using High Tech Legal pad #2,  your 90 day list, create your action items for the month ahead.  Using my example of learning Spanish, completing Units 1 & 2 of Rosetta Stone has to happen.  What must you have completed a month from now in order to achieve what is on your 90 day list?  Write it down.

It’s happening!  Take a deep breath and take out High Tech Legal pad #4 and design your WEEK ahead.  Pull ONLY from High Tech Legal Pad #3, your month list.  High Tech Legal Pad #1 is entirely too daunting at this level.  I mean, just thinking about accomplishing everything on your Year list this week is enough to make anyone quit!  So create your week ahead on High Tech Legal Pad #4.  What has to happen THIS week?

STOP.

Take out High Tech Legal Pad #1 again and take a look at your life in JUST ONE YEAR.  Read it, and answer this question!  Do I really want what I see on this page to be my reality? If so, then don’t miss the MOST important next step.

Take out High Tech Legal Pad #5!!!!!!!!!  Pulling ONLY from High Tech Legal Pad #4 with your week ahead - Design Your Day!!!

This is the To Do List that trumps all To Do Lists and it makes dreams come true.

Once this is complete, all you have to do is WHATEVER it takes to cross off everything on this list TODAY.  Get up early, stay up late, it doesn’t matter – because IF you make today happen, you can absolutely count on everything you wrote down in the beginning of this exercise to be your reality.

The day at hand must be anchored to your big dreams if you are to live them.
